Henrys Delphin Long Juggling Club Parts
You can buy replacement parts to all Henrys clubs we sell, however you must be careful which model club you are buying them for. On this page you can find parts for the Delphin Long. Verify your club model by measuring the handle from the bottom of the knob to the middle of the center ring: Delphin Long clubs will measure 8 1/2 inches, while Loop clubs will measure 9 3/4 inches. The total length from cap to knob of these clubs are both 20 1/2 inches.
Henrys makes two lengths of club bodies: long and short. Delphin Long clubs use the long body, whereas the Delphin Short, Loop and Pirouette clubs all use the short body. This page only sells the long body for the Delphin Long club.
The center ring connects the handle with the body in the middle of the club (instead of tape used by Pirouette clubs). To put on a new center ring: (1) take off the knob at the bottom of the club, (2) slide the ring up the handle by hand. You must get it over the ridge of the handle so it cannot slide back down, and it does take some force to get the ring locked in place. If the handle is not on the club yet, put the ring on first and then insert the dowel into the club. If the ring is warm, the process is easier.
Wood dowels are made with a flat spot on the bottom of the dowel, which goes into the bottom of the handle to keep the dowel from rotating. Feel to make sure the flat spot is in the correct orientation and goes all the way to the bottom of the handle. The Henrys logo at the bottom of the handle should line up with the rounded part of the dowel. Tube handles for the Delphin only come in white. The Delphin tube handle is a shorter than the tube handle used on the Loop club.
Flat-top caps are used for all Delphin clubs, whereas all other clubs use curved caps. Replacements come with a screw, washer and plug. The plug is always the opposite color of the cap (white cap, black plug). Remove the paper covering the adhesive before placing on the cap. Make sure you check what type of cap your clubs have, as sometimes Delphins are made with curved tops. Semi-round knobs are used for all Delphin clubs. Replacements come with a screw and washer. Extra Screws and washers can be ordered to replace bent or stripped screws. If the screw has broken off inside the dowel, you need to get a new dowel (you can try to remove the broken screw, but it is very difficult to do.
If you are going to replace the dowel on a club. Follow these steps
- Take off knob and cap with screwdriver.
- Pull the handle and body apart. Take the broken dowel out of the handle.
- Slide the dowel inside (flat spots in dowel go inside) the handle. At the bottom of the handle you will see the molding line, this line goes over the flat spot on the dowel. You can feel when the dowel goes to be the bottom of the club, and has the correct orientation of the flat spot. Turn the dowel and handle against each other to find where the flat spot goes.
- The Henrys logo at the bottom of the handle should line up with the rounded part of the dowel if the mold line is worn off.
- Inset the dowel/handle into the body of the club. Tap body down the top of body so the dowel hits the top of the club body.
- Wiggle the dowel around till the hole in the body lines up with the hole in the dowel, and screw on the cap. Remember to remove the paper covering the adhesive the back of the cap.
- Take the adhesive off the plug. At a slight angle push the plug in the cap hole. Use some force and it will be nearly flat with the top.
- Take the screw and washer out of the knob. With force push the knob onto the handle till it bottoms out. Then put in screw and washer.
Call us if you have any questions, and we can walk you through the assembly. You can also send in your clubs for free repair at our workshop, you just need to pay for the new parts. While it’s faster for us to make a new club than to fix a used one, we repair clubs as a service to our customers—we think it’s important to save energy and resources and promote recycling of equipment when we can.
